Naples apartments with a gym and steam room

Almost no short-let apartment in Naples has its own gym. The exceptions are multi-unit properties with dedicated shared facilities, where the gym and steam room are reserved for guests staying in the building.

Anyone who trains regularly knows that travel is where the routine breaks. In Naples the problem is sharper than elsewhere, because the central housing stock is historic and shared facilities are rare.

Why it is hard to find

Short-let apartments in Naples are almost all single units carved out of residential buildings. They have no equipped communal space, so there is simply no gym.

Hotels with fitness centres exist, but they are mid to large properties, and people choosing an apartment usually do so for reasons a hotel does not solve: a kitchen, space, a group, a longer stay.

That leaves multi-unit properties managed together, where a shared space becomes viable because it serves several apartments.

What to verify before booking

Included or charged. Some properties list a gym among the amenities and then apply an entry fee.

Opening hours. A gym available only during daytime hours is no use to anyone training early or late.

Actual equipment. The word gym covers everything from a full room to two dumbbells in a corridor. Ask for photos.

Exclusivity. If the space is also open to outside members or a neighbourhood subscription, availability changes.

The Vico Santa Maria a Cappella Vecchia case

The building has a wellness floor reserved for guests of the five units, with an equipped gym and a steam room. Because it serves the property’s guests, it is not shared with outside members.

Access to the wellness floor is limited to guests aged sixteen and over.
